Nearly one-fifth of all air freight worldwide is chilled cargo. And a sizable portion of that is going abroad. Compared to domestic markets in the US, cargo to foreign markets, particularly Asia, is more frequent and far more profitable.


Eurofreight International Group, with its headquarters in Stockholm, Sweden, is one of the biggest freight firms in the world. According to IBISWorld, Eurofreight has a 31% market share of the global goods forwarding market in 2017. But it only first reached the American market in 2008, making it a relatively recent newcomer. By growing its global network of airport agents — the network carriers whose agents fill the freight space that freight forwarders' — Eurofreight claims it is attempting to gain ground in the United States.
